Innovative Mechanical Concepts completed a planned boiler plant upgrade for a confidential commercial client in the Kansas City metro, installing a high-efficiency AERCO CFR condensing boiler. The owner wanted better efficiency and reliability without the cost and disruption of rebuilding the boiler room. The CFR was the right fit: it's engineered to run safely on existing Category I venting, so the new boiler went in on a concrete housekeeping pad, tied into the building's existing flue and heating water piping, and delivered a condensing-class upgrade without tearing out the vent system.

The new unit runs on AERCO's Edge controller, giving the building smarter firing, outdoor reset, and a clean path to building automation integration. The result is a modern, efficient plant that fits the existing room and sets the owner up for easy maintenance going forward.
